I started counselling working with bereaved people for Macmillan in the NHS at Ealing Hospital, and I also worked with asylum seekers and refugees for the Mapesbury Clinic and Mothertongue: two charitable organisations.
Since 2007 I have been working in private practice with individuals, couples and supervisees, and I am a group supervisor for Brent Bereavement Services (BBS), and Multi-Ethnic Counselling Service (MECS) in London.
I have experience in co-facilitating experiential groups in an educational therapeutic setting, running experiential self-awareness workshops with pregnant women, and in primary schools, and collaborating in parenting courses in secondary schools.
I work taking into consideration the way the person manifests in body, emotion, mind and spirit. I am particularly interested in working with attachment, connection/disconnection, and trauma, and how these affect our sense of self. Another area of interest is the way we voice ourselves as a reflection of our state in the moment, and of our history and unconscious processes.
I have completed ReAttach training amongst others.
